A going-out-of-business sale is underway for approximately 360
Dots stores region wide.
I remember when Dots first opened and I was in high school. My clothing and fashion budget was minimal, almost nothing. When they first opened, nothing in the store was more than $10, so for a hot $20 bill, I could walk out of there, thinking I was looking fresh to def (remember, this was the late 80’s). They were the go-to place for teens and 20-somethings, who didn’t have a lot of disposable income, but still wanted to look trendy and fashionable. I didn’t mind making the trip to go shopping with my minimal wage pay check. In my mind, I was balling. Ha!!
Dots was known for its affordable lady’s fashions, but has struggled with the competition of other national chains like Target, Walmart and other online and brick and mortar stores with greater brand recognition.
Currently, they have a ton of merchandise under $10 and for those of you looking for storage options or have a store of your own, they are selling the store fixtures and furniture as well.
I wish the best for the employees that will be losing their jobs and I hope they find a replacement job soon.
